Battery & Hardware-Bypass
|

 |
Will my bass work without the battery?
Our basses have a true "passive" hardware-bypass, either as a mini toggle or a push-pull volume pot. In passive playing mode, the bass is independent from battery power. This provides complete peace of mind in case the battery or the preamp circuit fails. We include this feature on all of our instruments.
Power consumption & changing battery
Clover onboard electronics are optimized for a low power consumption and hundreds of hours playing with one battery. If you notice a remarkably short battery life, maybe you leave your guitar cable inserted steadily – please note, that the output jack switches the electric circuit of your bass. Due to a battery clip, changing the battery is simple – besides that, our circuits are reverse polarity protected.

Rechargeable batteries
The use of rechargeable batteries, especially NiCd accumulators, is not recommended.
